Soccer Recap: Chattanooga Prep Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Chattanooga Prep kept a clean sheet against Silverdale Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Seahawks by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Chattanooga Prep's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Silverdale Academy are ranked 263rd).

Adrick Hall and Aaron Perez scored both of Chattanooga Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Chattanooga Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six games. As for Silverdale Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-11-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Chattanooga Prep wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against Signal Mountain on the 17th. Silverdale Academy has also already played their next match (against McMinn County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
