Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carson). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the East Rowan Mustangs 43-7. With the Cougars ahead 28-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Griffin Barber went supernova, rushing for 77 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Rosean Perkins was another key player, rushing for 78 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Carson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 320 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

With the victory, Carson broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4. As for East Rowan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Carson has already played their next matchup, a 45-19 defeat against Jay M. Robinson on the 24th. As for East Rowan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-12 win against South Rowan on the 24th.
