Football Recap: Doherty Memorial Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Doherty Memorial had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Minnechaug Regional Falcons by a score of 26-24 on Friday.

The win got Minnechaug Regional back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doherty Memorial will square off against Leominster at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minnechaug Regional, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wachusett Regional at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th.
