Football Recap: Whiteville Wolfpack vs. Clinton Dark Horses

If Whiteville was feeling good fresh off their 44-0 takedown of East Columbus last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 37-36 to the Clinton Dark Horses. The Wolfpack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dark Horses apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Miles McCallop had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 62 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns for Clinton. McCallop showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Gavin Miller, who rushed for 114 yards and one score.

Whiteville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Clinton, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
