Baseball Recap: Spanish River Sharks vs. Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Brendan, Spanish River was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They skirted past the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.
Jesse Chimenti and Domenic Salter made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Chimenti pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Salter tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Chimenti gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. At bat, Chimenti scored a run while going 1-for-5, while Salter scored a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, Salter posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
