Soccer Game Preview: Sheridan vs. Middle Park

Sheridan is 0-4 against Middle Park since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Rams will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Sheridan has given up an average of 8.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sheridan is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Wednesday. They came up short against Arvada, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that Sheridan have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, Middle Park entered their tilt with Bennett on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Tigers 5-1. Considering Middle Park have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Bennett from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Middle Park pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three games. As for Sheridan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Sheridan might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Middle Park in their previous meeting back in May of 2021. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
