Soccer Recap: Beecher Takes a Loss

Beecher fought the good fight in their overtime game against Bloom on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blazing Trojan by a score of 4-3. While losing is never fun, Beecher can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Bloom are ranked 128th).

Grace Durante and Saiorse Loonam scored all three of Beecher's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 45 goals.

Beecher's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-11. As for Bloom, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Beecher has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 7th. As for Bloom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Momence on the 6th.
