Volleyball Recap: Upson-Lee's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Upson-Lee waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Peach County Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on September 11th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Upson-Lee got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 15-4.

Amiya Cromer paced Upson-Lee's offense, picking up seven kills. Cromer got some help from Kaylin Gresham and her eight assists. Gresham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Upson-Lee's record now sits at 19-16. As for Peach County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season.

Coincidentally, Upson-Lee and Peach County will both be playing Howard the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
