Basketball Recap: Westfield Comes Up Short

Westfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 46-34 to the James Madison Warhawks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-27 two weeks ago.

Westfield's record is now 5-10. As for James Madison, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Westfield and James Madison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Westfield will take on Broad Run at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday down 156 places (209 vs. 53). Similarly, James Madison (ranked 77th) will meet Centreville (ranked 11th) at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
