Baseball Recap: Quitman Finds Home Field Redemption Against Richton

There's no place like home for Quitman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Richton Rebels on Saturday as the Quitman Panthers made off with an 11-4 win. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Malik Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Holden Turner, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Quitman's record now sits at 7-3. As for Richton, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Quitman has already played their next contest (against Morton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Richton, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-0 win against Heidelberg on the 3rd.
