Baseball Recap: Oak Grove Eagles vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates

Oak Grove lost a close one when they played last Wednesday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They fell victim to a tough 17-1 defeat at the hands of the Piedmont Hills Pirates. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oak Grove in their matchups with Piedmont Hills: they've now lost four in a row.

Oak Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Gutierrez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

On Piedmont Hills' side, Travis J. Linane was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (he also only allowed one walk).
