Football Game Preview: Senatobia Warriors vs. Corinth Warriors + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Deavion Watson and Patrick Crump Jr. are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Senatobia will take on Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Senatobia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Greenwood, posting a 35-8 victory. With the Warriors ahead 28-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

A big part of Senatobia's win came down to the chemistry between Jay Irby and his top target Silas King. Irby threw for 130 yards and one TD while King picked up 105 receiving yards and one score. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Corinth on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Amory out of the water with a 40-0 final score. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six games in a row.

Senatobia better keep an eye on Qwuantiver Young. He was instrumental in Corinth's win, rushing for 42 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 27 yards and one TD. Young didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Corinth's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Senatobia, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Senatobia barely slipped by Corinth in their previous meeting back in October of 2018, winning 39-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Senatobia since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
