Basketball Game Preview: North Mahaska Warhawks vs. Woodward-Granger Hawks

The North Mahaska Warhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Woodward-Granger Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. North Mahaska's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Woodward-Granger's offense will have their work cut out for them.

North Mahaska is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Montezuma just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodward-Granger). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 81-7 win over Ogden. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Woodward-Granger's third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.3 points per game. As for North Mahaska, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.
