Basketball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Salpointe Catholic won the last time they faced Ironwood Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Salpointe Catholic Lancers came out on top against the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks by a score of 58-50.

Ironwood Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carter Brown, who posted 22 points and six rebounds. Brown's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Lucas Anderson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Salpointe Catholic's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Ironwood Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Salpointe Catholic and Ironwood Ridge will both be playing Sahuaro the next time they take the court. Ironwood Ridge will head out to face Sahuaro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Salpointe Catholic will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
