Softball Recap: Munford Beats West End for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Munford had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West End Patriots, sneaking past 9-7.

Munford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-6-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for West End, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7.

West End wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat against Southside on the 18th. Hopefully Munford paid attention to the Patriots' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Patriots at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
