Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association had won eight straight games dating back to last season and Ryann Owensby did her part to make it nine on Friday. The Patriots came out on top against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors by a score of 2-0 thanks in part to Owensby, who had four aces and one block. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Norfolk Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Catholic on the 15th. As for Norfolk Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Broadwater Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
