Basketball Recap: Webster Warriors vs. Norwood Pirates
Webster's tournament run continued when they took on Norwood on Saturday. The Warriors fell 51-42 to the Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly nine points.

Perhaps the best among those players was Ja'Marion (Jay) Powell, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and six rebounds. Powell is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hondo Avington, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Bradshaw, who shot 62% from the field en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. Those 19 points gave Bradshaw a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carder Kelly, who posted 13 points and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Webster and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Norwood, their record is now 5-2.
Coming up, Webster will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norwood will take on Blue Eye in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
