There's no place like home for Sangre de Cristo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Custer County Bobcats, posting a 42-14 victory. The win continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Sangre de Cristo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deklin Beiriger led the charge by throwing for 137 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 39 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Beiriger a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Another back making a difference was Kolby Shellabarger, who gained 214 total yards and a touchdown.
