Football Recap: Tuko Saluskin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Klamath Union over South Umpqua + How To Watch

After flying high against La Pine last Thursday, Klamath Union came back down to earth. The Pelicans fell 25-18 to the South Umpqua Lancers on Friday. While the Pelicans had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Lancers 12-0.

Klamath Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tuko Saluskin, who picked up 173 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Saluskin showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Johnson, who threw for 324 yards and three TDs.

Klamath Union now has a losing record of 1-2. As for South Umpqua, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klamath Union will venture away from home to take on Sutherlin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Umpqua, they will face off against North Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
