Football Recap: Klamath Union Pelicans vs. South Umpqua Lancers
After flying high against La Pine last Thursday, Klamath Union came back down to earth. The Pelicans fell 25-18 to the South Umpqua Lancers on Friday. While the Pelicans had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Lancers 12-0.
Klamath Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tuko Saluskin, who picked up 173 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Saluskin showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards.
