Football Recap: Rockdale Tigers vs. Groesbeck Goats
Rockdale was the 42-28 winner over Groesbeck when they last played one another back in November of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockdale Tigers fell 32-21 to the Groesbeck Goats on Friday.
Despite the loss, Rockdale saw an underclassman step up: Jeramiah Butler rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Deandre Stephens was another key player, picking up 115 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Trent Platt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Groesbeck, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 179 yards on only 16 passes. 88 of those passing yards were hauled in by Cannon Campbell.
