University hasn't had much luck against Northwood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Trojans will face off against the Timberwolves at 3:30 p.m. University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for University's offense. They came up short against Rosary Academy on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

University saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Weinberg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Northwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Irvine.

Natalie Keith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Samantha Mella also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

University is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Northwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. University has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Northwood, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 strikeouts. Will University keep running through batters, or will the Timberwolves buck the trend?

University came up short against Northwood in their previous meeting back in March, falling 11-7. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
