Basketball Game Preview: East Hardy Cougars vs. Frankfort Falcons

East Hardy hasn't had much luck against Frankfort recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The East Hardy Cougars will look to defend their home court against the Frankfort Falcons at 7:30 p.m. East Hardy will be strutting in after a victory while Frankfort will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, East Hardy was able to grind out a solid win over Tygarts Valley, taking the game 49-37. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Frankfort ended up a good deal behind Turkeyfoot Valley Area on Monday and lost 82-68. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Falcons came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 76th in West Virginia, while the Rams are ranked 274th in Pennsylvania).

This is the second loss in a row for Frankfort and nudges their season record down to 7-7. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for East Hardy, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
