Softball Recap: Oasis Academy Has No Trouble Against Incline

Oasis Academy got themselves on the board against Incline on Tuesday, but Incline never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Incline Highlanders as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The Bighorns haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Shayana McNamer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. McNamer was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI, three runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Lewis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylynn Maynez, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Oasis Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .794. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Oasis Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Incline: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
