Basketball Game Preview: Blair Vikings vs. Monrovia Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Blair Vikings will get right back to it and host the Monrovia Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Blair and 12 for Monrovia.

On Tuesday, Blair ended up a good deal behind La Canada and lost 79-64. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Spartans are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Monrovia faced off against South Pasadena on Monday. Monrovia was beaten by South Pasadena 82-46. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.

Monrovia's loss dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Blair, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Everything went Blair's way against Monrovia in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Blair made off with a 94-74 win. Will Blair repeat their success, or does Monrovia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
