Softball Recap: Foothill Tech Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Foothill Tech's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Calabasas Coyotes by a score of 14-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-8 last Tuesday.

Jocelyn Morales was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyra Bouchard, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Foothill Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Foothill Tech's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Calabasas, their loss was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill Tech will welcome Nordhoff at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calabasas, they will host Thousand Oaks at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
