Plymouth Christian Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Clawson Trojans.

Sophie Paryaski and Clara Groen made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Paryaski kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Groen struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Paryaski has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Paryaski went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Groen went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Groen has posted over her last 12 matches.

In other batting news, Chloe Paryaski was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mariah Wright, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Plymouth Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Plymouth Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Clawson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-3 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth Christian Academy will square off against Lutheran Northwest at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clawson, they will face off against Port Huron at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
