Basketball Recap: Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Takes a Loss

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 80-32 loss at the hands of the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Fighting Saints are ranked 67th).

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City will venture away from home to square off against Paynesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, they will head out to challenge Minneota at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Minneota likes a good challenge.
