Softball Recap: Forest Hills Yellow Jackets vs. Central Academy Cougars

Forest Hills extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-20 in the process. They came up short against the Central Academy Cougars, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-0 loss on April 8th.

Forest Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lylah Starnes, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

As for Central Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The result was nothing new for Central Academy, who have now won nine games by ten runs or more so far this season.

On Central Academy's side, Aislinn Calhoun made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Calhoun a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Central Academy got a massive performance out of Katelyn Easterly, who went 1-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Easterly a new career-high. Kieryn Peters was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
