Basketball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

If Smiths Station was riding high fresh off their 80-29 takedown of Dadeville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 57-39 bruising from the Russell County Warriors on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Smiths Station's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Russell County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Smiths Station will venture away from home to face off against Eufaula at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Russell County, they will head out to challenge St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
