Volleyball Recap: Liberty Patriots vs. Eagle Mountain Knights

Liberty and Eagle Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Liberty had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagle Mountain Knights by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Liberty sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 25-13, 17-25, 15-11.

Eagle Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexi Nichols led the charge by getting 19 digs. Nichols is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last eight games she's played. Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 34-13. As for Eagle Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 29-18 record this season.
