Football Recap: Southside Christian Takes a Loss

Southside Christian lost against Mountain View Prep back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sabres took a blow against the Stars, falling 43-14. The Sabres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Mak Anderson had a dynamite game For Mountain View Prep., rushing for 50 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 203 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes. Kadarius Hainsworth was another key player, picking up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountain View Prep, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will welcome A.C. Flora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View Prep, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
