Baseball Recap: Alameda Takes a Loss

Alameda started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Vacaville. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Vacaville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Alameda didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against San Ramon Valley on the 5th. As for Vacaville, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Pioneer on the 8th.
