Meanwhile, Pembroke faced Coe-Brown Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Pembroke fell to Coe-Brown Academy 67-61. It was the first time this season that the Spartans let down their fans at home.

Merrimack Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Pembroke, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-2.
