Baseball Recap: Maize Eagles vs. Valley Center Hornets
After only one run in their last match, Maize made sure to put some runs up on the board against Valley Center on Wednesday. The Maize Eagles were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over the Valley Center Hornets. With that victory, Maize brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Easton Roth looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (he also only allowed one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk every time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Brady Jackson was incredible, going 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Brodie Jarvis was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Maize's win bumped their record up to 4-1.
