Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Timpanogos had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

Canyon Clegg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Allphin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Timpanogos' victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Juan Diego Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.

Timpanogos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Soaring Eagle: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
