Carmel had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Amundsen Vikings 14-3 on Friday. Considering the Corsairs have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bella Cameron spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Grace King was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one triple while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Grace Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
