Elkhorn Valley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats 74-27. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elkhorn Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karlee Broberg, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points. Broberg's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kyndal Werner was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight assists and five steals.

Elkhorn Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] only posted two assists.

When it comes to explaining why Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] lost, don't look at Jenna Funk. Despite the final result, she posted nine points along with six boards and three steals.

Elkhorn Valley pushed their record up to 17-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 32.1% in those games and 31.5% outside of them.
