Baseball Recap: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Takes a Loss

Our Lady of Mount Carmel lost against Annapolis Area Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel got a good showing from Ethan Kessler, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kessler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Our Lady of Mount Carmel saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keith Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Annapolis Area Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel has already played their next contest, a 13-10 loss against Boys Latin on the 16th. Annapolis Area Christian has also already played their next match (against Mount St. Joseph), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
