Hilltop dropped their record down to 11-11-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against  the Olympian Eagles, falling  10-0. Considering the last time the Lancers couldn't score was  back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
 Hilltop saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaylani Sablan, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base.
As for Olympian, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12-1 record  this season. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
On Olympian's side,  the result came thanks to  Alexandra Perez's shutout, as she gave up just five  hits. Perez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Jaiden Liera was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  runs marked the first that  she has  scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayleigh Macharia, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Coming up, Hilltop will welcome San Diego  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Olympian, they will face off against Mar Vista at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
