Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Crossroads Christian Academy extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastgate Life Academy. Crossroads Christian Academy was not able to make up for their defeat to Eastgate Life Academy from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

As for Eastgate Life Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly four points.

Eastgate Life Academy found their leader in sophomore Trey Harbins, who shot 46% from the field en route to 16 points and three steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Harbins. Another player making a difference was Elijah Miller, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossroads Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Promise Prepatory Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 9. As for Eastgate Life Academy, they will host Philadelphia Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
