Football Game Preview: Greenfield vs. Athol

On Friday Greenfield will take on Athol at 7:00 PM. Greenfield have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Athol might have their hands full.

Greenfield won against Easthampton/Hampshire two weeks ago with 36 points, and Greenfield decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Everything went Greenfield's way against Mahar Regional as they made off with a 36-12 win. The rankings were on Greenfield's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.

Meanwhile, if Athol were riding high off their 50-8 takedown of Mohawk Trail Regional, that ride came to an abrupt end. Athol came up short against Franklin County Tech, falling 8-16. Athol's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the game before.
