Basketball Game Preview: Severn School Admirals vs. Severna Park Falcons

Severn School hasn't had much luck against Severna Park recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Severn School Admirals will take on the Severna Park Falcons in a holiday battle at at 6:45 p.m. Severn School will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Severn School is headed into the match having just posted their biggest victory since December 1, 2023 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bryn Mawr 52-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Admirals have posted against the Mawrtians since January 28, 2015.

Severn School found their leader in sophomore Amyah Heyliger, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Austin, who posted seven points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Severn School was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Severna Park came up short against Crofton on Friday and fell 28-19.

Severna Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Severn School, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Severn School came up short against Severna Park when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 43-36. Can Severn School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
