Softball Recap: Immokalee Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Fort Myers, Immokalee was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Naples Golden Eagles 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Leyah Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Remey Rodriguez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory got Immokalee back to even at 2-2. As for Naples, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immokalee will venture away from home to face off against Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Naples, they will challenge Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Naples is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
