Teton is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will venture away from home to face off against the Sugar-Salem Diggers at 4:00 p.m. Teton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.6 runs per game this season.
Teton's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Bear Lake as they made off with a 13-0 victory. Considering the Timberwolves have won five games by more than 11 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gracie Kincaid was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
In other batting news, Kara Webster was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Kadence Hansen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI.
Teton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Sugar-Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-7 to Skyline.
Like Teton, Sugar-Salem also got a great game from a two-way player: Ashlyn Harris. On the mound, she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Harris was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Allie Christensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kambry Bartholick, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Sugar-Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Teton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Teton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sugar-Salem struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Teton beat Sugar-Salem 9-5 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Diggers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
