 Bonanza was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They suffered a  tough 17-2 loss at the hands of the Shadow Ridge Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bonanza of the  8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
  Tyson Owens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 On Shadow Ridge's side,  Brayden Somers looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. Somers has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.  Ian GrafMank relieved him and did a solid job,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (he also only allowed one  walk).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brock Morrow, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Evan Noble, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Bonanza's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Shadow Ridge, their win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-11.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonanza's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Canyon Springs at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Canyon Springs is coming into the  game with five straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Bonanza will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  victory. As for Shadow Ridge, they will be playing at home against Twin Falls at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
