Baseball Recap: Bluffton Comes Up Short

Bluffton was the 7-4 winner over Hilton Head Island when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats lost 19-8 to the Seahawks on Wednesday.

Tyler Wolfe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bluffton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Ulmer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Bluffton dropped their record down to 9-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Hilton Head Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.

While Bluffton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
