Recap: Newton-Conover Red Devils vs. Bandys Trojans

The Newton-Conover Red Devils lost against the Bandys Trojans back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Newton-Conover received a tough blow as they fell 34-20 to Bandys. Newton-Conover has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Newton-Conover still got an impressive performance from Logan Adair, who threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Miller, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Newton-Conover's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Jordan Lineberger and his three sacks.

Bandys got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ian Moore out in front who rushed for 187 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Brady Swett also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Newton-Conover has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Bandys, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Newton-Conover will be playing at home against Bunker Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bunker Hill will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Bandys, they will head out on the road to face off against West Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Caldwell comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
