Volleyball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Sand Creek Scorpions
If Fountain-Fort Carson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mesa Ridge last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fountain-Fort Carson fell just short of the Sand Creek Scorpions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Scorpions from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Fountain-Fort Carson started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-27, 25-14, 25-17, 15-13.
Roland Clark paced Fountain-Fort Carson's offense, picking up 17 kills. Clark got some help from Myren Johnson and his 38 assists. Johnson also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Devon Bradford, racking up three apiece.
