Softball Recap: McKenzie Victorious

McKenzie's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Georgiana Panthers get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

The team relied heavily on Trenady Pierce, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Anna Grace Blackburn was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

McKenzie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .739. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

McKenzie's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Georgiana, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, McKenzie and Georgiana will both be playing Elba the next time they take the field. McKenzie will head out to face Elba at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Georgiana will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
