Norfolk Christian took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Nandua, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Ambassadors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

DJ Howell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jackson Nofplot was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Norfolk Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Nandua, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Norfolk Christian will welcome Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nandua, they are taking a road trip to face off against Salisbury Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
